winning mind games

Our mind is like a game of tug of war with two opposing sides trying to gain the upper hand. On one side there is self belief, faith and confidence while on the other side there is self doubt, fear and anxiety. So which side is winning your game?

By simply becoming aware of my thoughts and realizing that they affect most areas of my life I am now creating a more balanced lifestyle. It is our choice what thoughts we allow control over our mind so why not be on the winning side.

Creating Winning Habits

Winning the mind game is all about creating winning habits. We are all creatures of habit with most things we do from the way we dress to the way we talk. So does it not make sense to develop self belief and faith success habits? Ultimately our thoughts control the direction our life takes us, by giving your belief systems a winning edge it will gradually take away all the doubts and anxieties that limit your success. There are many things you can start today to empower your mind.

Develop an awareness of the words you speak. Replace negative words with positive empowering words, if somebody asks you how you are, reply with “I’m great”, it is amazing by simply doing this how much better you feel.

Focus on what is good in your life and avoid giving time and thoughts to those things that you dislike. Visualize the things you want and start feeding the subconscious mind with these images. Place pictures and photos of the things you desire around in visible areas of your house and work.

Write out an affirmation stating what you want, making sure you write it as though you have it now. The subconscious mind does not know the difference between what is real and what is not so this is a very effective step in winning the mind game. This is just a sample of the things you can do to make a positive change.

The Science of the Mind

The mind is an amazingly complex system and there is still much that is unknown about it. The one thing that is for sure, is we all have ability to take greater control over what thoughts enter our mind and the results that we achieve are closely related to this.

The best news is that the mind can be reprogrammed, by following a simple formula developed by Dean Whittingham I am now winning the mind game. Dean shows in an easy to understand way that there is a real science behind how our mind works. I have read plenty of self improvement and mindset books but learning that there is an actual science behind how the mind works has been the turning point for me.

Life is a journey, what road we take is our choice!

    Hey Graeme,
I enjoyed this post and I love the idea about winning habits, coming from the positive and strength base. I agree 100% that we make the choice about our journey.
