Dis-Empowering Beliefs and Self Image
Recently I have come to discover that a lot of the things I didn’t think I could accomplish in my life, were purely due to my belief system. When you believe that you cannot achieve something, it really is only a thought, and not the truth. These thoughts are dis-empowering beliefs, and they are attached to your self image.
When you become aware that that is all they are, then you are on your way to replacing these old beliefs that are not serving you, to that of new empowering beliefs, and this is where you will start to make changes. Of course, it’s not enough to just make replace them, you must also take action upon these new beliefs.
As I said earlier, beliefs form part of our self-image. We all have a self-image of ourselves, this is in fact our comfort zone and comfort zones are in place for a reason, but sometimes the things that we believe just don’t do us any favours. It may be something your parents or your teacher said to you as a child, that you weren’t smart enough or good enough or too fat, too thin, and those beliefs are still embedded in our subconscious, wreaking havoc, and we are left wondering why we never get any further ahead in life.
Reprogramming the Mind for Success
I used to think years ago, if only I could “rewire” my brain, and input my own files, and erase the things i knew weren’t helping me. Well thanks to a wonderful book I have been reading, this is possible. Reprogramming the Mind for Success is all about doing just that. It is written in a style that is easy to understand. I use it like a bible - I keep it close by and can always pick up more every time I read it.
Dean Whittingham who is the author has generously included lots of extra’s: links for audio and desktop subliminal messages, CD rippers to brain wave generators (for meditation). He also includes a huge range of affirmations to use for your subliminal messages.
For me, I am progressing by realising that I can make changes in my own subconscious - I am steadily erasing old dis-empowering beliefs and replacing them with new empowering ones. It’s very liberating to know that I am in charge of what I think and where I am going in life. I have new goals that I know I will achieve because I am changing my mindset from one of self doubt to one of achiever, and it feels awesome.
Onward and Upward,
Trixie
