Motivation Management is taking charge of what motivates you by discovering your passions and desires and utilising tools and strategies to ensure that you can maintain motivation even in the toughest of times.

What Is It That Excites You

Is there something in your life you are passionate about. Are you passionate about your life. What is it your Motivation, and how do you manage your Motivation.

Do you enjoy what you do every day, what Motivates you to get up every day excited about the life you are living. Are you the best you can be, because you love your life that much.

I wonder how many people can answer these questions with a positive response. My guess is only a minority, but what about everyone else, what will motivate you to make some changes to a happier, more fulfilling life. Isn’t it true that if one person can lead a fantastic fulfilling life, then we all can. That’s the Abundance Mindset.

So many questions right, well they are ones you really need to ask yourself. It’s about the choices we make, and the actions we take. Do you want to be the best parent or spouse you can be, artist, teacher, doctor, what choices are you making to achieve what you want. How can you stay motivated and on track with your desires. Do you know your purpose. If you can discover what fills you with passion what motivates you, you find success so much easier to grasp. What you are really passionate about will give you a clue to your purpose and your purpose will give you the guidelines and boundaries for which to structure your life. If you can work out your passion you have taken the first step in Managing your Motivation.

We all have days when we just don’t feel like doing anything and may even have felt like giving up, it’s perfectly normal. But you want to be successful, right. So, successful people make an effort to look for something that will inspire and motivate them to turn a down day into a motivating day. Whether it is audio’s, seminars, books, movie’s, or simply a well earned reward; and don’t underestimate the power of rewarding yourself, whatever you can do to get back on track and stay motivated. Use what works for you. It’s true that your motivation, no matter how great your purpose, can wane so giving yourself a daily dose of motivation will keep you going. It’s all part of Motivation Management.

Knowing why you want to do something is the first step to staying motivated; next you need to realise what the benefits will be. It’s a good idea to write everything down, write a list of all the benefits you will have by continuing to stay motivated and working on achieving your purpose. This is another way of Motivation Management, writing down goals will give you some order and milestone checks along the way. Be aware though that a goals list is something that you may continue to work on for your whole life and that this is a good thing. It’s also why you need to recognise your achievements along the way as this will help keep you motivated as well.

What Is It That You Desire

Another important ingredient Motivation Management is desire. Desire can be all consuming it’s what gives you the strength to persevere with your goals. Desire can be explained by the words, determination, perseverance and focus. Just think of yourself in the first few months of a new love, you would do anything for that person and nothing is too much trouble. Usually at that time you couldn’t be happier you feel satisfied and fulfilled. Think of your purpose in that light, it’s about making the whole thing bigger than you. People feel satisfied and fulfilled when they are able to make a positive difference in some way, it’s a very rewarding experience, a win, win.

When obstacles come your way, get a different perspective by looking for the positive, you will always be able to overcome them, they will stretch you, teach you new ways of coping and you will be stronger for it. Let the obstacles that you face reveal a person of great strength and character, we all have it in us to be great. Recording the obstacles you have faced and how you overcame them can be a great resource to help in your Motivation Management when something similar in the future comes up.

Tools For Motivation Management

Your environment can also play a part in how motivated you feel. Create an environment where pulling yourself out of a down day or period is easy. Build a group of people you can spend time around that you know will empower you, they can be your Motivation Management Team. Hang positive statements and images around your home and work space. You will create good positive habits that will be there to get you through the tougher times when they come.

Make a tape of some uplifting music or inspirational speakers. Collect a range of movies or books that fuel your desires. Spend some time in areas that help you to feel good such as beaches or parks.
Arm yourself with some motivating tools, keep a plan and diary of your progress, reward your milestones and maintain your Motivation Management techniques for ultimate success.
