All weaknesses can be overcome, bodily healing, financial independence, spiritual awakening, prosperity beyond your wildest dreams. This is the superstructure of happiness.

Sounds a little out there doesn’t it? However, everyday we read and hear about amazing discoveries in medicine, science and technology and yet we seem to think that in the area of mindpower there is a limit to what we can discover!

LIMITED THINKING.

Why do we have this limiting thinking? Why can we not see that inside every human being is this powerful source of energy that is available for all if we but reach in and take it? The human mind is a most amazing entity. The hardest thing about it is that it is not tangible, not a physical thing, not readily dissected! This limits the willingness of the scientific world to jump in and investigate like they would any other discovery!

I have learnt one thing in the last few years - just because the scientific world and main stream media don’t support an idea does not invalidate it. The quickest way to understand an idea is to check it out yourself.

As a scientist 20 years ago if you had asked me about using homeopathy to stop my hay fever I would have laughed at you! Today after 5 years working with my homeopath I can tell you I am no longer a sceptic but race around there as soon as I feel even slightly unwell! The reason I use his service - SUCCESS.

YOU NEED A NEW MINDSET.

I had to change my mindset about alternative therapy before I could hope to find someone who could help me overcome my health challenges. Once I did that I was able to see and grab the opportunity that was right in front of me!

Part of my reprogramming began by also taking advice to take up Yoga as a means of controlling hypertension. So I joined a local yoga master and started attending lessons. My first motivation was the physical benefits of the Yoga. I gained flexibility I had lost and then started losing a little weight. Then I noticed I was sleeping more soundly. Next thing you know my hypertension was dropping and at times better than normal (for me!).

I soon attended advanced classes and retreats. The retreats would be out in the country for 2-3 days and I would learn advanced meditation and have time with some very knowledgable Indian and Australian Yoga masters.

Little did I know that because of their teaching -

I WOULD NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN. I had a new MINDSET.

THE MAGIC OF MEDITATION.

I will discuss the beliefs of the Yogis in another post since they are so important in understanding how meditation is such a powerful tool. However, for now I would encourage you to not let the spiritual nature of this activity side track you from what it can bring to your life. Meditation can give you access to theĀ  eternal reservoir of power that William James speaks of.

Yes, it is a spiritual science, (Buddhism treats Yoga as a science!) one that that does not always fit into the Scientific Method of the west. It is though a reality - as my experience and that of millions of others can attest!

THE SCIENCE OF MEDITATION.

Now what is really exciting is that western scientific research is now proving that much of what the Yogis claim about meditation is true and can be measured. Brain scans of experienced meditators show that changes do happen to the brain during meditation. You can change your brain state and benefit from this in terms of health and quality of life.

Here is one extract from a recent newspaper report! Meditation Gives Brain a Charge, Study Finds

What we found is that the longtime practitioners showed brain activation on a scale we have never seen before,” said Richard Davidson, a neuroscientist at the university’s new $10 million W.M. Keck Laboratory for Functional Brain Imaging and Behavior. “Their mental practice is having an effect on the brain in the same way golf or tennis practice will enhance performance.” It demonstrates, he said, that the brain is capable of being trained and physically modified in ways few people can imagine.

Physically modified did you read that?

Your brain can be trained! Which means it can be untrained as well! You can reprogram the mind!

Now wouldn’t you like to reprogram the mind for SUCCESS!

WHERE DO I BEGIN?

You don’t have 5 years, I hear you say! Fair enough. So start small, investigate, try, and learn!

I won’t mix words! Start by learning all about your mind and how it is in fact directing your life and therefore the consequences of your behaviour every day! The science is slowly catching up on what has been known for centuries by the Yogis. Today you have access to a starting point on your journey take it!
